You start with a handful of coins and a few powder monkeys, but your goal is clear: become the most notorious pirate in the Caribbean! You loot, hire an experienced crew with your gold and hijack ships. A tough battle breaks out on the high seas and only the bravest find rich booty. Get your crew on deck and become the ruthless legend of the Caribbean!
In this competitive deck building game you have to use your card effects wisely and put together poker sets from them. Ruthless adds a new twist to the deck construction genre, because instead of playing uniformly through your deck until the end of the game, you play one card in turn from your hand and hire new crew members whose effects you can use immediately. When all cards have been played, you form the poker sets for the intermediate scoring and distribute points. Ruthless has reinterpreted a tried and tested mechanism, which makes the game fast and interactive.
